A "smarter" smart home solution

Over the last couple of years smart home products, such as lights, doorbell cameras and robot vacuums, have changed from a luxury product to being widely available. Prices went down, usage went up, and our lives got much easier with these new tools. Smart products are more often than not connected to the internet, either via Wi-Fi, an app or a hub. When connected to a hub, which is a small box collecting and sending signals, they may talk over some sort of protocol like Zigbee, Matter or even Bluetooth. Most of the time, this hub has internet access via Wi-Fi. When all these devices are connected together (regardless of which protocol they use) we call it the "Internet of Things" or IoT.

All fun but definitely not a joke; Playmobil

April Fools' Day is around the corner, and it's all about fun. This brand is all fun, but definitely not a joke. Being established in 1974 Playmobil has a solid reputation as a trustworthy toy company. Nearly all children in Europe have played with Playmobil figurines, buildings, vehicles and accessories while growing up.

Playmobil is still being produced in the European Union, with three main factories in Germany, Malta and Spain. Furthermore, the European markets get the first releases of new sets, which will only appear outside of Europe a year later. All in all, this makes Playmobil a perfect example of a great European made product.

Companies led by women

International Women's Day serves as a vital moment to acknowledge the extraordinary contributions of women worldwide, especially those who have ascended to leadership roles within the business sector. The European economy, reliant as it is on dynamism and strong leadership, benefits immensely from the presence of women at its helm. These women bring not only diverse perspectives and innovative strategies, but also a resilience forged through overcoming significant obstacles.
