Spring into Europe: Honey, Seeds, and Bird Boxes for the Equinox
At the Spring Equinox, we celebrate the start of the astronomical spring. To do so we've selected a few of Europe's finest products which relate to the birds, bees and plants.
At European Made, we have a soft spot for artisan made products, so we're happy the first product is an artisanal honey that is collected straight from the honeycomb without any alterations. . This honey by Antonio Simón from Spain & Portugal has all the flavours and none of the additives such as corn syrup and added sugar that you may found in industrial produced honeys. On top of that, it is certified as organic by the EU and CAEM (Organic Agriculture Committee of the Community of Madrid)

Lucky Charms: Irish products to brighten your St. Patrick's Day
For Saint Patrick's Day, we will explore a few Irish companies, that are true gems.

The company is established by Fiona and Áine, who found out in 2020 that our menstruation products are riddled with hormone disrupting chemicals. No less than 24 chemicals that disturb the hormonal balance were found in products such as pads and tampons. The two friends decided to join forces and address this problem. Together they founded Riley, a company that makes period products from 100% certified organic cotton. Their entire product line is made in Europe, and by ethical manufacturers who are paying their workers fairly and provide safe working conditions.

Prices went down, usage went up, and our lives got much easier with these new tools. Smart products are more often than not connected to the internet, either via Wi-Fi, an app or a hub. When connected to a hub, which is a small box collecting and sending signals, they may talk over some sort of protocol like Zigbee, Matter or even Bluetooth. Most of the time, this hub has internet access via Wi-Fi. When all these devices are connected together (regardless of which protocol they use) we call it the "Internet of Things" or IoT.
